The Ripple
7th-12th grade
When TWC first began, we started a youth group that met every other Friday for several months. We dove into many topics that are relevant to teenagers, such as bullying, gossip and self-respect. In that season, our youth group ended up being larger than the church itself. Many youth came on their own without the prompting of their parents! At the time we were still meeting in our home and the church was very small. It was exciting to see that so many youth were interested in being a part of what God was doing.
Since we've moved to our own building, we've been in the process of renovating space for our youth. We are waiting for just the right leaders to rise to the surface to take over this ministry. Teens need consistency. It's imperative that when we do this ministry, we do it well, so we would like our ducks in a row before we launch "The Ripple." We are praying this happens quickly. In the mean time, we are in the process of organizing events that allow high school age kids to get together and learn more about each other and about God. This age group needs to know how much God loves them. We hope that the next generation realizes that we love them too.
